In 2023, this annual Broomfield School fundraiser will take place at Randolph Downs farm, which is just 12 minutes north of Amberley, on Sunday 30th April.

Riders will access this private farm with stunning views over Mt Grey, the "3 Deans", views of the limestone rocks on the Waipara river and further out to sea.

A variation of surfaces can be expected including grass, gravel farm tracks and dirt tracks. The terrain is a mixture of undulating rolling countryside, some straight stretches and one steeper climb onto Mt Brown to the top view.

There will be two rides to choose from on the day: a 2 – 2.5 hour ride and a 2.5 – 3 hour ride (timings are approximate). The shorter ride is around 12km, with the longer around 15km. Shoes are recommended.

Riders will be asked to check-in on arrival and sign your safety waiver. You may then ride out at your own leisure from 9.30am.

Final ride out time will be 11am. There will be marshals for safety and direction along the way.

The cost of the ride is $50 per adult and $25 per child under 16.

Lunch is available to purchase for $20 which includes a large filled gourmet bun, fruit and home baking. A vegetarian option will be available also, which is also gluten free. This can be paid for when you register, or with cash on the day. Soft drinks and lollies will also be available to purchase, so bring some coins on the day.

Please bring snacks to keep you going on your ride also.

For those wishing to stay close to the venue the night before, basic camping amenities will be available for $20 per person at Broomfield School the night before – this is just 5 minutes’ drive from Randolph Downs. Clean portaloo facilities will be available here.

Registration will open on Friday 31st March. Please check our Facebook page @Randolph Downs Horse Trek for updates, or email randolphdownshorsetrek@gmail.com for more information.
